SaarBird is an interactive installation that was made for “Tag Der Deutschen Einheit”. Done at zeit:raum.
The experiences allowed to player to impersonate and control a bird with the help of body tracking, collect points and learn about the most important sightseeing areas of the region Saarland in south west of germany. The tracking worked with an regular RGB webcam and didn’t need any special sensors or even multiple cameras.
Within our team, I developed some features and logic with C#, implementing new markerless tracking technologies in to our input system and worked on some technical art like shaders and particles.
